Ok, so I think that working out every.single.day. might have been a little ambitious. I am exhausted! So, I have officially declared today a rest day.
Monday I went to the gym after work. Rowed for a few minutes. Got bored. Biked for a few more minutes. Got bored. So, after 25 minutes of that nonsense I went to a Zumba class for an hour. It actually stretched my very sore triceps from the previous Friday, so that was really good. Yesterday, Tuesday, I decided to try to work out at lunch at the office. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and then various machines for another 15 minutes and then changed to get back to my desk. While it wasn’t an intense calorie-busting session, it was a good way to get in a little activity in the middle of the day. It also made me feel not as guilty for having a hot dog at the Nationals game that night!
After getting home late last night, getting up early this morning just wasn’t happening. I realized that I am totally exhausted. Tonight I have book club and tomorrow I have to go to the race expo to pick up my packet, so I am just going to take today off and rest. Tomorrow morning I will do a short run to stay in motion for Sunday’s race.
I realize these posts are boring – I will work on that!
